Australia's Software Excellence Celebrated at the 2006 Consensus Software Awards

Australia's leading software innovators have been recognised tonight at the 2006 Consensus Software Awards, celebrating the organisations developing world-class software solutions across business, healthcare, engineering, government and enterprise technology.
Held at the Sheraton on the Park Hotel in Sydney, the annual Awards brought together leaders from industry, government and the technology sector to acknowledge Australian companies demonstrating outstanding innovation, technical excellence and commercial potential.
The Awards were presented by Sarah Craig, New Zealand Consul General, The Hon. Senator Stephen Conroy, Shadow Minister for Communications and Information Technology, and Steven Ciobo MP, recognising the growing importance of Australian software innovation within the global technology marketplace.
Consensus Founder Julian Day said the quality and diversity of this year's entries reflected the continued strength of Australia's software industry.
