Australia's Leading Software Innovators Recognised at the 2000 Consensus Software Awards
2000 Winners with Senator Richard Alston and right Founder Julian Day

Australia's most innovative software developers were recognised this week at the 2000 Consensus Software Awards, with five organisations honoured for excellence in software design, innovation and commercial potential.
Known this year as the Australian Designers of the World – Software Awards, the program identified software solutions demonstrating outstanding achievement in the development of products designed to improve business performance, productivity and technological advancement.
The Awards were presented by Senator Richard Alston, recognising the significant contribution Australian software companies continue to make to the nation's growing technology sector.
The Consensus Awards program was supported by Austrade, media partner PCWeek, Software Engineering Australia (NSW) and ISEG Pty Ltd, with judging hosted by AMP.
1999/2000 Consensus Software Award Winners
Following a rigorous assessment process, the judging panel selected the following organisations as winners of the 1999/2000 Consensus Software Awards:

QMS Pty Ltd for iKnow
StreamLink Pty Ltd for eProcure
InfoComp Pty Ltd for Composer
Presence Online Pty Ltd for Aptrix
Each winning organisation demonstrated excellence in software innovation, functionality, commercial application and future market potential.
Consensus Awards Founder Julian Day said the quality of entries highlighted the strength of Australia's software development industry and the growing global opportunities available to innovative Australian businesses.
"The standard of submissions this year was exceptionally high. These organisations have demonstrated not only technical excellence, but a clear understanding of how software can solve real business challenges and create commercial value," Mr Day said.
"The purpose of the Consensus Awards is to identify organisations with genuine potential and recognise innovation that can contribute to Australia's future economic growth."
